EMDR and Emotion-Focused Therapy
in person in Ventura, or online anywhere in California
Hi, I’m Leah, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialize in EMDR for trauma and for overcoming difficult experiences that might feel “stuck.” I also provide traditional individual therapy, with an emphasis on Emotion-Focused Therapy for healing deep emotional wounds and for breaking cycles. I work with teens and adults in person or via secure telehealth.
Do more than just hold it together.
Are you managing “ok” on the surface, but underneath feeling a constant internal storm? Do you wonder why you continue to function in turmoil or find yourself in relationships that drain you?
Therapy can help you uncover the sources of distress and, more importantly, find new ways of coping. This takes time, practice, and patience, but is worth every minute invested. Ultimately, you deserve to lead a healthier, more stable, and more supported life.

Why I’m Here
In my experience working with children, teens, adults, and families within many different systems, I’ve learned an important lesson: While people and systems can cause us harm, the most effective path to healing starts within ourselves.
What are you carrying? I would love to help you name it and find the strength and skills to overcome it. I will use my experience to inform our work together, but never to judge you. If you would like to learn more, please reach out to schedule a call.
